So you’ve done Diesel in Cluj (remember TIFF in the spring?) and the litoral thing this past summer at The Office Lounge. We could move on and enumerate all the other must-lounge-in spots you visited during your jetsetter trips around the world (because, you know, we know all of them), but we actually only care to mention the latest one on our map: FRATELLI.

The first own-product of the genius twins, Liviu and Mihai Popescu, and their above-genius mother, FRATELLI fills in the the niche of the lounge scene in Bucharest. We would need about 17 FRATELLI-like places to have that niche well covered, but as we patiently wait for that to happen, we can’t think of a better place to experience the lounge culture of good espresso, ingenious design, colorful cocktails, comfy pillows and interesting wall art.

The space is incredibly intimate, simulating a living room decked out in glamorously eclectic decour. Chandeliers? Yes. Murals painted on walls? Yes. Philippe Starck lucite chairs and Louis XVI stools? Oh, yes. Candle light, small bites and leaning against each other? Uh huh... And wait until the terrace opens its doors and its

skylight; we couldn’t make that up even if we wanted to. So what we’re saying is that this is the perfect after-work boîte. Join the extended family of the interior design aficionados. And the crowd who lounges. Make lounging your affair.
